I have recently won a BALI National Landscape Award 2016 for a garden that I designed in Macclesfield.
BALI is the British Association of Landscape Industries and the garden was entered into the competition by Designscapes, who built the garden.
The project was a complicated one, for a new-build prestige house, designed by The Cave Architects. The clients wanted a contemporary garden which was compatible with the design of the new house, but with beautiful, scented planting.
To complement the planting the client commissioned two pieces of dry stone walling sculpture from Andy Loudon , an orb sitting in a quiet secluded area, and a square installation which is the chief focal feature of the new garden.
